ARIZONA SUNSHINE® UNVEILS NEW GAMEPLAY TRAILER AND COMMUNITY CHALLENGE

Sky Soleil, voice of Sunny, showcases chaotic co-op, split-screen multiplayer and playable Buddy the dog, while a new community challenge lets players unlock free skins together

Rotterdam, the Netherlands – August 26, 2026 – Vertigo Games today unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Arizona Sunshine®, giving players a closer look at the upcoming third-person zombie shooter. Hosted by Sky Soleil, the voice of protagonist Sunny, the trailer showcases the game’s chaotic co-op action, local split-screen multiplayer, and playable Buddy the dog. Alongside the new gameplay, Vertigo Games is also launching a new community challenge, giving players the chance to unlock free in-game rewards together.

Meet Sunny. Meet Buddy. Meet the apocalypse.
In the new gameplay trailer, Sky Soleil introduces Sunny, the wisecracking survivor at the heart of Arizona Sunshine®. After spending far too much time alone in the Arizona desert, Sunny sets out across the zombie-infested wasteland with his weapons, survival instincts, and loyal canine companion Buddy by his side.

The trailer showcases the game’s new third-person perspective, as Sunny takes on hordes of “Freds,” his name for the undead roaming the Arizona wasteland, with explosive gunplay, brutal melee combat, and the series’ signature dark humor.

Bring a friend. Bring Buddy.
Survival is better with company. Arizona Sunshine® features chaotic two-player multiplayer, including online co-op and local split-screen.

In multiplayer, players can also take control of Buddy, Sunny’s loyal four-legged companion, bringing a whole new perspective to the apocalypse as they help Sunny, sniff out secrets, and tear into Freds along the way.

Because every apocalypse needs a good boy.

Join the Arizona Sunshine® Community Challenge
Alongside the new gameplay reveal, Vertigo Games is launching a community challenge where players can wishlist the game together to unlock four free skins.

The challenge features four milestones, each unlocking a new skin for the entire community. The first reward is a Tactical K-9 Unit outfit for Sunny, while the remaining three skins will be revealed as the community reaches each milestone.

Arizona Sunshine® is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. Wishlist now on PlayStation 5 via the PlayStation Store, on Xbox Series X|S via the Microsoft Store, and on PC via Steam or the Epic Games Store. Wishlists for Nintendo Switch 2 will be available at a later date.
